Joshua M. Halper, D.V.M.
Dr. Josh was born into a family of eight children on a New Jersey dairy farm. After receiving his B.S. from Rutgers University, he went on to study for an M.S. in physiology at Michigan State University and then for his D.V.M. at The Ohio State University. His first job after graduation was working in an equine practice. He then switched to a mixed animal practice in eastern Ohio and later worked in central New Jersey at a small animal practice. In 1994, after many discussions with Dr. Goldstein, he acquired Hillview. Dr. Josh’s special interests in veterinary medicine include senior pet care, dermatology, surgery and behavior.

Aside from his veterinary practice, Dr. Josh’s greatest enjoyment is spending time with his three children, Leah, Benjamin and Marah. In fact, Marah has already decided to follow in her dad’s footsteps and become a veterinarian.

Fred Goldstein, DVM
After receiving his undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University, Dr. (“Doc”) Goldstein went on to graduate from the school’s college of veterinary medicine. In 1958, he opened Hillview Veterinary Clinic as a mixed small and large animal practice. By 1972, so many of Hillview’s clients were pet owners, he decided to focus the practice on small animals only. Even though he transferred his practice to Dr. Halper's capable hands in 1994, Dr. Goldstein has continued to be active in it as a part-time associate. Dr. Halper feels fortunate to have Doc's experience, advice and support and values his input and participation.

A native of Licking County, Dr. Goldstein has three sons, one daughter and many grandchildren. He still makes his home there so he can be close to family members and the practice.
